ACCEPTABLE USE
Use RescueSpan to move authorized animal-welfare work forward—never to exploit the access that work requires.
These rules apply to every account, organization, record, message, upload, export, integration, and automated action inside RescueSpan.
You may
- Create and maintain accurate records within your organization’s authority.
- Use approved workflows to discover, evaluate, coordinate, transport, place, and confirm outcomes.
- Share information with authorized partner organizations when the workflow and your organization permit it.
- Use general messages for context while completing required actions through the structured workflow.
- Report errors, suspected misuse, security concerns, or urgent product problems.
You may not
- Browse records for curiosity, personal interest, competition, retaliation, harassment, or unrelated outreach.
- Share credentials, impersonate another person or organization, bypass permissions, or keep using access after your authority ends.
- Enter information you know is false, misleading, unlawfully obtained, needlessly inflammatory, discriminatory, or unrelated to an operational decision.
- Publish, photograph, scrape, bulk-copy, export, sell, or redistribute private records outside an authorized workflow.
- Expose confidential locations, legal-hold records, private contact details, unapproved medical or behavior information, or other restricted data.
- Use general messages to evade a required action, falsify completion, conceal decision history, or misrepresent a handoff or receipt.
- Upload malware, probe security, overload the service, automate access without written approval, reverse engineer protected code, or interfere with another user or organization.
- Use RescueSpan for unlawful activity, animal harm, exploitation, threats, fraud, or any purpose that creates an unreasonable safety or privacy risk.
Emergency and safety boundary
RescueSpan notifications and messages are not emergency communications. Contact the appropriate veterinarian, emergency service, law-enforcement agency, animal-control authority, or organizational leader directly when immediate action is required.
Enforcement
RescueSpan may preserve logs, restrict a feature, suspend an account, notify an organization administrator, or terminate access when misuse is suspected. Serious threats, unlawful activity, or credible safety risks may be reported to appropriate authorities.
Report a concern
Use the Contact & privacy requests page and select Product support or Security concern. Do not paste confidential Animal records into the public form.
